Job Description

Role Profile:

  • – Administering the contractual and commercial duties in respect to Client facing aspects.
  • – Taking ownership of Client Audits, agreeing items at base detail level and ensuring recovery where applicable.
  • – Assist the department lead with reporting and governance.
  • – Understand, communicate and adjudicate the contact terms.


Typical Deliverables:

  • – Agreement with Client periodic updates of contract rates.
  • – Prepare rates for upload onto SOLO system due dates.
  • – Track material changes (H&D) and prepare any necessary claims.
  • – Agree with Client monthly audits.
  • – Ensure recovery of audits from others.
  • – Complete Internal audits for contract compliance.
  • – Produce recommendations for changes resulting from audit findings.
  • – Co-ordinate with the Bid Team when producing quotations.
  • – Ensure the Commercial section of monthly progress reports are completed on time.
  • – Create a relationship with the Clients Commercial team.
  • – Manage a commercial change register.
  • – Assist in solving any disputes over the contract with others.
  • – Produce commercial reporting (Monthly).
  • – Co-ordinate with the Bid Team when producing quotations.


Business Operations Skills – Experience:

  • – Excellent Commercial understanding.
  • – Ability to gather and interrogate data.
  • – Good working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
  • – Previous experience of using a company finance system (not necessarily Oracle).
  • – Financial and commercial management of projects.


Business Operations Skills – Qualifications:

  • – BSc Quantity Surveying and/or proven experience of working within a contracting organisation.
